A COMMUNITY SHAPED AND SOCIALIST PROGRAMME

MAKE POLLUTERS AND TRANSNATIONALS PAY: INCREASE THE STATES MINERAL ROYALTIES FOR BETTER SERVICES & A JUST TRANSITION
For decades, mineral transnationals have ripped up valleys, riverways, communities, and the environment - even since colonial days. Each further day that passes, they royally rip us all off.
The resources below our feet belong to no one private individual. Currently, royalties sit between 8-10%. They must be dramatically increased to ensure NSW Residents get access to their human rights, and to enjoy a life of dignity. They must also be increased in order to fund a green, just transition in the economy.
+ INCREASE STATE MINERAL ROYALTIES FROM A MEASLY 10 PERCENT TO A MINIMUM OF 50 PERCENT.
11
THE ELECTORATE OFFICE AS A PLACE OF COMMUNITY POWER AND SAFETY
+ HALVE ALL STATE MPs' WAGES
+ DIRECT HALF OF MY WAGES AS YOUR LOCAL MP TO AN OFFICE RUN FOOD PROGRAM FOR THE NEEDY
+ A PROACTIVE STAFF APPROACH TO COMMUNITY CAMPAIGNS AND LOCAL SOLUTIONS - THE OFFICE IS ON YOUR SIDE!
The Electorate Office should be a place where community power is built and people feel safe to show up as they are. It can be more than a desk for paperwork or complaints – it can be a welcoming hub where locals come together to share ideas, organise around shared problems and get real support navigating government systems.

FAST AND FREE PUBLIC BUSES FOR THE CENTRAL COAST
NSW Residents currently pay twice for our so-called public transport systems through our State Budget and through Opal fares. Public transport should be publically owned, fare-free and fast. We need only pay once.
+ FARE-FREE BUSES FOR ALL OF CENTRAL COAST & NSW
+ PLAN TO MAKE ALL CENTRAL COAST BUS COMPANIES PUBLIC, FOR TRANSPARENCY AND PUBLIC OVERSIGHT
+ EXPAND THE "EXPRESS" BUS SERVICES ON THE COAST (14X + 17X) TO ALL HOURS AND WEEKENDS, NOT JUST PEAK TIMES

BRING BACK UNI COURSES AND THE LIBRARY TO OURIMBAH CAMPUS
Late last year, the University of Newcastle defunded the Ourimbah Campus Library, leading to its closure. Over the last few years, the University Executive have decided to bleed courses at Ourimbah out of profit-seeking behaviour, not to the stated public education accessibility aim we expect of public institutions we pay federal taxes for. Whilst they have opened up a new campus at Gosford, our northern end of the Coast once again gets the short end of the stick.
It's time to pressure the University to give our library and our courses back at Ourimbah!
It is untenable to continue down this route; that thousands of people in our electorate do not deserve accessible face-to-face university education because some Council boffins reckon Public Education is about making a buck.

A REAL ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION PLAN FOR THE COAST
IN 2025, the Labor State Government approved the Central Coast "Strategic Conservation Plan", a 30-year plan which is not actually a plan for the conservation of nature but a private-property developer led pet project that certifies hundreds of acres of forest for felling, and features no new surveys for endangered species nor real community input - despite the community expertise across the Coast.
If elected, my position would be to oppose Labors' developers' plan totally, including its implementation, and co-construct with locals and scientists an actual conservation plan, to look after nature and Country.

10
A LIBERATORY HUMAN-RIGHTS ACT FOR ALL OF NSW
We must enshrine our basic needs into law immediately. A Liberatory Human Rights Act for NSW will guarantee every resident a legal right to high-quality public housing, universal healthcare, food, free education, secure employment, and a clean environment. By turning these essentials from political crumbs into absolute mandates, we ensure no government can trade our dignity for corporate profit.
This Act centers First Nations justice and Indigenous sovereignty, while mandating explicit protections for disabled people, our LGBTQIA+ communities, migrants, refugees, and those struggling on low incomes.
Most importantly, it creates a powerful, independent enforcement body, giving ordinary people the legal teeth to hold both giant corporations and state governments accountable.
When these rights are violated, we will finally have the power to strike back, ensuring justice is accessible to everyone in The Entrance and the State, not just the wealthy elite. It is time to shield our most vulnerable neighbors and secure a bold future for all.

REDUCE COMMUTING AND POVERTY: A FULLY-FUNDED LOCAL JOBS GUARANTEE
Here on the Coast, our job opportunities are mostly limited to services and retail/fast-food. So much under-reporting of joblessness and a lack of a diverse economy means many young or middle-aged workers travel very far afield or suffer in hidden poverty.
The Central Coast is currently set up as a feeder region to Newcastle and Sydney, or a retirement village for those from Newcastle and Sydney.
We should have a local jobs plan, backed by a fully-funded local jobs guarantee that would ensure each individual looking for work could find it.
Government firms, commercial operators looking to setup advanced green-manufacturing, farming opportunities and other sustainable careers would be backed by this Government program for apprentices and fully-fledged roles - part-time and full-time!
A fully-funded local jobs guarantee guarantees shorter commutes, less poverty, and more opportunity for money made in the Central Coast to be spent in the Central Coast economy.
It will also get rid of the need for bloated job service providers that do not actually provide anyone work. Trialling this jobs guaranteee will be useful for removing the insidious "industry" that are "job service providers" - who only make money off of stringing people along.
3
ABOLISH LAND-BANKING + COMMUNITY DESIGN OF TOWNSHIPS
+ LEGISLATION TO END ZOMBIE DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENTS
+ INTRODUCE A NEW LAND-TAX TO DISCOURAGE MONOPOLY LAND OWNERSHIP, ESPECIALLY IN TOWNSHIP CENTRES
+ THE STATE TO HAVE AN AGGRESSIVE STANCE TO LAND AND PROPERTY ACQUISITION; TO BE GIVEN TO COMMUNITY ORGANISATIONS AND GROUPS PURPOSES AND DESIRES
2
5 YEAR RENT-HIKE FREEZE STATE-WIDE
Rental stress across the Country and State is growing and highly acute. On the Central Coast, we outpace the already-high rental stress experienced by people in large cities such as Melbourne, Adelaide and Brisbane.
We must introduce a 5 year freeze on all rental price hikes state-wide. We should only do this in-conjunction with other much needed housing measures and tax measures. This in order to give stability and quality of life back, and to give the people of NSW and the Central Coast the majority of their wages back in their hands. Too many renters are subsidising someone elses 8th investment property mortgage, with crushed dreams of ever saving enough for a housing deposit themselves.
7
WORKERS DEMOCRACY AND POWER: BRING BACK THE CENTRAL COAST LABOUR COUNCIL
Workers make the world run. We deserve more than better conditions and wages. We deserve a say in our workplaces and a local voice for all Central Coast workers to struggle against the excesses of capitalism and to build the foundational blocks for a better society and economy.
The "cost-of-living" crisis is really a crisis of profits. Too long has the role of a local labour council of unions been diminished, internally and externally in the movement. People belong in the politics of class-war against the ultra-rich - local unionisation efforts and the reconstruction of vehicles to fight for our interests is paramount to a society worth living in.
It's time to bring back the Central Coast Trades & Labour Council, as a properly constituted, radically democratic working-class force for good, and for the good of all.

RETURN THE MATERNITY WARD TO WYONG HOSPITAL
There is currently only one public maternity ward on the Central Coast, on the southern end at Gosford. This travesty of womens' and family health degradation on the Coast needs immediate attention and reversal.
We need a restored, fully-funded maternity ward at Wyong Hospital, to ensure the thousands that live in the north of the Central Coast have an accessible location for what should be bare-basics healthcare. The literal future of our region depends on this vital service. People looking to start a family should not needlessly suffer.
1
There are currently over 3500 families on the Central Coast on an 8-year long waitlist for public housing, and more homeless uncounted that are not on that list. There are hundreds of families in The Entrance electorate waiting, as Labor kicks more out of public and social housing.
We must build or convert 5000 dwellings into proper public housing by 2040 to begin to arrest the growing homelessnes crisis that late-stage capitalism and local billionaires like John Singleton are hell-bent on manufacturing in our growing region. Doing this big build of Public Housing stock will also put downward pressure on rents and house prices!
